LED Case and Always On Display?

Just received my new case however the always on display does not work.

Should it?

The Samsung official LED one.
There is no mention of the case in the AOD settings.

AOD works fine without the case

According to the description on Samsung's website, the Less then on when you press the power button. It also says the phone sleeps with the cover closed and wakes when the cover is opened. That could be subject to interpretation, but mostly it sounds like it is working as designed...
