LED notification color light

Has anyone experienced this issue with the light notification? I am using the GOSMS texting app. I set one of my contacts to have a yellow indication light. Instead of getting yellow, I am getting orange. I choose yellow and even tried customizing The HEX code to yellow and all I'm getting is orange.

Is there a way to test the LED color? Is this my phone or is this a glitch? Is there a setting I am missing?

That's because it's an RGB LED. There's no yellow. It's just trying to get as close an approximate to yellow as it can.

Samsung phones like the S8 we are even older models have the same RGB and I Mabel to get yellow and different colors.

My only complaint with the led light is how dim (and small) some colors are. It's nearly impossible to notice the green text color. Blue stands out a bit more, but the light is generally too small. I'm forced to use the always on screen, since the edge lighting is also broken.

Not typically, but try Textra for sms. Not only can you set a default LED for all messages, you can then go by conversation and set the LED for specific contacts. So for my wife, it's pink; for one son, it's blue; for my other son it's green; and my default for all others the LED blinks Orange

It has so many other options to customize - i.e. color scheme per contact, a different color notification per contact, etc etc.
