Led notification light best app?

What app is everyone using to control the led notification light?

I've used light flow before not sure it works on the note 3

Light flow is the best IMO. However, the Accessibility bug means using it kills a few N3 features such as one handed mode.

Lightflow requires you give permission to read your text messages. Can anybody recommend an app (doesn't have to be free) that does not require that it have access to the content of the messages? Many of my emails and text messages are subject to attorney-client privilege and this stupid, unnecessary extra step (beyond reading just the message details) is preventing me from being able to download a lot of leading apps.

i guess no phones are secure anymore...I heard google is the worse

hsr386 - Understand your privacy concerns. But many third parties have access to your data (your carrier, google, apparently nearly everyone in a government agency...).

I use Lightflow too and haven't had any issues. Not sure why they would want to read specific messages, but I'm guessing the permission is to detect incoming messages to be able to notify users. You could reach out to them for clarification.

AppOpsXposed (Xposed module, requiring root) will let you revoke the permission, but then that may break the notification you want.

I have contracts with my carrier and with Google which allow for that information because they uphold necessary privacy. Granting third party app access will violate privilege, regardless of any "clarification" as to what they say they will or won't do with it - I can't let a third party read client communications.

My question was if anyone knows of an app that doesn't require that extra step. Any notification app will require access to the message details for customizability purposes (who it was to/from, when, etc.). But they shouldn't need to access the content. I'm getting pretty annoyed that there's no native (or at least Google-designed) app to do this.

While I’m not a developer, I’m going to guess that any app that does what you want will have to have access that you don’t want to allow. By likely seeing that a message has arrived probably also means the software can see the contents.

By contacting the developer, they may be willing to add language to their terms of use that is acceptable to you (and others). Or, they may be willing to develop the app as you desire. Many developers are very open to suggestions.

Maybe pay one to develop just what you want.

Or try a full blown third party replacement app. But they’ll probably need permissions you do not want to grant.
