hello everyone i have the epic 4 g touch on sprint ans was wondering if there is an app to change the colors on the led light for notifications thanks

If you do download a messaging app from the market like handcent you can change the color of your all your messaging notifications.

Yes, You could use messaging apps like Handcent, but if you want an app that is specifically for dealing with the notification light, you want to get either Blink or Light Flow. Both offer different options to change the behavior of the notification light, like the color, rate of blinking, etc.

Blink is simple and user-friendly. It uses less battery when running in the background. Light Flow is not as user-friendly as Blink but offers a whole slew of options. By the way as far as colors go, only the red, blue, and a mixture of the two are available for the Epic 4G Touch.

I currently use Blink to have an increased rate of blinking of the red notification light.
