Have you tried a reset? Also are you talking about the standard led?

same problem. seemed to work the first day i had my htc one. this was a big selling point for me coming from blackberry. :(

I'm sorry to hear that. Try a reset.

I noticed I miss the LED light so now I have my back and home button flash along with the LED

Custom kernel.
I've got volume up to take photo and down to focus or video whatever I pick.
HTC logo working as menu button
Swipe right across all capacitive buttons to wake and left to sleep.
Long pres HTC logo to sleep long press to wake
Volume keys to wake
30 volume steps as opposed to 7 stock
Three button menu bar is gone using HTC logo instead
Removed share bar from blink feed
Can remove blink feed from sense is I want.

Anyone has any questions or needs help let me know.

The kernel is bulletproof running android revolution 12 sense 5 / 4.2.2

I have gotten the same problem. I have tried resetting to factory settings. The problem was solved until I plugged it in to charge. Then the notification light stop working again.

Think I found the answer, did you install Swiftkey? I reset my phone a couple times to troubleshoot the issue. Seems to be that it messes around with the notifications. As soon as I install it and have it learn from my emails, the notifications get broken. Only way I found to fix it is to do a factory reset.

Cheers

I have the most recent version installed from the Google Play Store and mine has learned email, SMS And so on and my LED seems to be working fine. (On stock att Android 4.3 ROM)

Use the htc backup in your settings. Before you do a factory reset.
Your apps will reinstall but they most likely will be the original versions. So you must update them after the restore.
Note make sure you have a good connection before backing up and restoring.

Try going to: Settings > Display, gestures & buttons > Notification Flash. Try to see if they are unmarked :).

I'm having a few issues, after moving from AT&T to T-Mobile, but two of the lines brought their own device and I traded in my phone and got the HTC One. So, I just want to address the HTC One, right now. I cannot figure out how to make the led light work and I'm having trouble sending picture messages to my family, who all have iPhones. Guess I'm more of a newbie, than I thought. I can usually Google and fix my issues, but these two, I can't figure out.
