I am jumping from BlackBerry later this week to the Droid X. My absolute favorite (and will be most missed app) on my BB is BerryBuzz. It allows you to use the LED light as notifications for all things on your device (setting different colors for different notifications).

I know BellShare (maker of BerryBuzz) makes BB applications only, but is there any one that makes this type of application for Android?

Im pretty sure theres an app for that......lol I had to say it. If I were you Id check out appbrain.com and do a search for it.

Currently there are a couple apps you can get to replicate this feature. Unfortunately I don't know one that will do all the features of berry buzz (I miss that too btw). Missed call is an example and will let you customize the led for calls, SMS, and some others. Gmail notifier can do it for gmail.

SMSpopup is what youre looking for :) you can customize the color of the light and when and what it blinks for.

Its the first app i download on my phones- it works wonders

I loved me my BerryBuzz on both of my BBs. I was hoping there was an app like that for Android too so I think I'll give SMS Popup a try.

I always have used different sounds for each type of notification on my BB. Can you set different sounds (ring tones, etc) for each type of notification? such as phone call, email, SMS, instant messager, etc?

Dumb Question - LED

Hey - Dumb question as I don't have the X yet (tomorrow hopefully).

I was playing with it in the store today - where exactly is the LED notification? I did not see anywhere on the device today of where it could be. Thanks!
