Android Central Question

*What do you guys think? I always get black phones... prism white has stainless steel casing while the ceramic is rose gold? Could guys pull this phone off?

*I keep hearing that ceramic back is what it is - BUT if you read fine print on Samsung.com BOTH phones come incased with Gorilla Glass! My whole reasoning to get ceramic is

1. it will look better, premium feel
2. it wont have finger prints!
3. it wold have less scratches

But after reading Sammy, it still has the glass back for wireless charging.

I went with the prism white - hope it doesnt look to girly! I normally roll naked but could always get a case!

Probably the S10, which is what comes up when I search for "Prism White." I'll move this thread to that forum.

Rose gold? I dunno man. But if someone gives you a funny look for sporting that phone and you intimidate them with a stern look, the phone would actually make you extra manly.

Also, there's some flamingo pink color. So by comparison the rose gold on the ceramic white doesn't look so girly after all.

Most people are going to slap on a case to protect their $1000+ investment. So for most, it doesn't really matter, glass or ceramic. Also anything will scratch with everyday use if not used with a case. IMO people are fooling themselves if paying a premium just for a ceramic back.

The weight difference is Glass model weight: 175 g | Ceramic model Weight: 198 g, so ceramic is a bit more weight plus a case.

That's not what the Samsung site says. The ceramic models have a ceramic back panel. The non ceramic models have gorilla glass 5.

This is the exact wording:

"Gorilla Glass 6 only available on Galaxy S10 and S10+ front glass. The rear glass on Galaxy S10 and S10+ and all of Galaxy S10e are made with Gorilla Glass 5."

So where's the "ceramic back"? They both have Gorilla Glass backs, the only difference is GG 5 or GG 6. (And GG 6 isn't any more scratch-resistant than GG 5, it's just tougher [it survives drops better - but I still wouldn't want to drop one onto a concrete sidewalk].)

What are you talking about? It's right there.

ALL S10/S10+ plus models with a glass back have gorilla glass 5. The ceramic models have ceramic.
