Lets Talk deal on nexus!

if you go this rout, make sure you call Verizon customer service, before and after the order from lets talk to make sure they did not switch you from your unlimited data plan if you're grandfathered. . .sounds like a great deal, but proceed with caution. . .also I believe Let's talk uses squaretrade for insurance, not assurion. . .Thanks for the post Premium1, not trying to hijack, just wanted to give a quick warning to make sure no one loses unlimited data. . carry on

Anyone taking advantage of this? Has anyone here ordered from Lets talk? Experiences?

Im considering this because its a really decent discount, but i also want the phone asap, If i can't overnight and have it immediately its not as attractive of an offer.

Any insight anyone?

Seems like a good deal, but you can't keep a $5 text plan through either Lets Talk or Amazon.

No problem. Thanks for the heads up for everyone. I am not going this route because I am using an alternate upgrade and don't think they would do that through them. Plus verizon in my situation is less of a hassle.

I am really considering this option considering that there's no way I can get the "3g to 4g" promo in my area.
I read in the comments at Droid-Life that:
"If you want to keep your current plan, add the galaxy nexus to your cart (at 12:00 am pst) then move your mouse to the top where it has your Cart, then the galaxy nexus should pop up, click on the "add/edit services" and switch from 2 gb plan to "Upgrades Only - Keep My Current Data Feature" and you will keep your unlimited data"
Not sure if this is accurate or out-of-date information, but I thought that I'd point it out.
I also need to wait for shipping, which is a slight bummer.

Sorry Verizon, but I'll take my chances with this deal. There's no way that $30 off cuts it for a $300 phone.

I am about 99% sure I will be going with this deal, $175 seems amazing and I'll just use the livingsocial voucher on the extended battery at the vzw store. I've called verizon several times to clarify that my unlimited data will get carried over and nothing on my family plan will change. Just FYI, you have 14 days after activation to call vzw and make sure nothing funny happened with your unlimited data plan and 30 days to add insurance coverage to the phone.

Yeah, I realized a little while ago that the info was confirmed.
Also read about the 14 day bit, too.

Has me excited that I don't need to sell an arm and a limb to get a brand new phone.
Just need to play the waiting game...my least favorite game of all.

I've also got a livingsocial voucher to spend...gonna accessory shop tomorrow while I wait for my Nexus!

I've used LetsTalk for years, I love them. But my upgrade date was moved up from May by Verizon, my upgrade date on LetsTalk is still May so I would have to pay full price less the $75. The best I could do was with Verizon using my special upgrade price a few months early $299.99.

So... in 36 hours our so I'll have a Nexus, woohoo can't believe it. Did anyone notice they are already back ordered on Amazon?

I'm pretty sure Amazon just put that up from the get-go, meaning they haven't opened it up yet for ordering online. I was reading the LetsTalk comments, and the LetsTalk person said that Verizon would not let them do online ordering until 12:00 PST, so I would assume that's the same story with Amazon.

Wow I'm pissed at myself for going with $49 Rezound at Costco. I thought the Nexus wouldn't lose that $299 price tag for awhile.
