My favorite events to watch are hockey, snow boarding, and short track speed skating.

Hockey would be number 1 which is no surprise and I'm really getting excited for tomorrows USA vs Canada game. I had to leave work early 2 day this week to catch the early USA games. I would love to the US win the gold and if not then Sweden or Russia. Not a big Canada fan because of Crosby or aka Cry Baby. Have to cheer for teams with Red Wings on them.

Snow boarding, its just fun to watch Shawn White destroy everyone else competing against him. His runs the other night were leap and bound over all others.

Short track speed skating has to be the best race of any kind better then Nascar, or sprinters. There is plenty of excitement and the race a pretty short so there quick. Plus the US has done fairly well in years past.

So what do you like to watch?

just noticed I can't spell Olympics opp's

Biathalon

Always hoping that one day one of the biathletes will spot a groundhog or a coyote and send it back to the hell that spawned it :)

Sean White killed the half pipe. That was the highlight of the Olympics for me. But then again I am into extreme sports, so not much else interested me.

His height difference on the pipe was just ridiculous. He proved he's out of everyone else's league. As Robin Williams stated, its funny to watch people dress up like sperm and go nuts first down a track on a sled.

hockey, of course is far and away number one. curling draws you in fantastically. you just start watching to kill time, and before you know it, youve been watching for 2 hours! the halfpipe is fun to watch, though i still am unsure why it is in the olympics (thats why the x-games exists), but hey, it sure does pad the USA medal count.

@mclarry: crosby haters unite!

I like just about every sport, though I prefer the ones that are not judged over the ones that are. Halfpipe was fun to watch, but I think snowboardcross, which has no fallible judging, is preferable. (Of course, Shaun White is obviously far better than everybody else that there's no controversy, but you could see this ending up as bad as the ridiculousness of figure skating.)

Sadly, haven't been watching. I have TiVo'd most events though. I need to finaly sit down and watch some TV.

Track and field. In particular, middle distance and distance running. Am a big fan of Kenyan runners, especially the women.

Women's indoor volleyball since my daughters play club in the USAV and the AAU systems.

Even though we're in Florida, we do enjoy hockey too since Lord Stanley insisted on moving here.
