I asked this question a couple weeks ago while researching the G2 and nobody knew the damn answer, so in the event this can help someone out there....

The LG stock browser does NOT have text reflow.

Congrats, LG, on implementing a stock browser that provides an inferior experience reminiscent of 2007.

The G2 comes with Google Chrome. There is no" stock" LG browser on this phone.

I do miss that feature when not using my HTC One though. Wish Chrome had it.

FYI only Verizon removed the stock browser. The other two available variants have it.

That makes a helluva lot more sense. But believe me you Verizon folk aren't missing anything with the stock browser being gone.

I like the stock browser on my at&t unit. Although it doesn't reflow the double tap to zoom works great. Couldn't say that about the G Pro. HTC' s text reflow is awesome though. I do miss it. Try Next Browser it's awesome
Edit:also just noticed my stock browser does relow(after tapping)on some sites. It doesn't on Android Central but does on some of my gun forums. Weird

Now this is very interesting. Are you sure it suddenly developed dynamic text reflow capabilities rather than simple zoom of the page?

For instance can you get text reflow even if you zoom in to a ridiculously high rate of say 3 or 4 words per line?

Yes it's actual text reflow on some pages. For instance go to xdtalk.com or 1911forum.com. It will reflow. Its not instant reflow like HTC but it will reflow

I'll give that a try. Of course I'll have to swing by an AT&T store since the decision to replace my HTC One was riding somewhat on this issue.

Thanks for the interesting feedback!

Oh okay, Well I would definitely check the sites you visit most because it seems to differ. Still a great phone. My HTC One became my backup. I do think HTC browser is better in that regards though

Ok finally got around to checking out this strange disappearing text reflow issue. Here's what I found after testing the sites you recommended and a few other sites: there are several issues going on simultaneously.

- first, forums are not a great example for text reflow because they do not contain paragraphs of text like a standard web page which is arranged symmetrically compared to asymmetrical posts.
- second, much more importantly when using a standard page, as from a news website, the double tap feature will attempt to do a form of text reflow. However LG has programmed the browser to line up text with only the LEFT side of the screen! It fails to wrap any text on the right hand side of the screen at all, so that it flows right off the page out of view.

So my conclusion is that LG has the distinction of introducing the world's first and only 50% text reflow browser.

ive always liked the stock browser on phones. damn you verizon. i like the basic settings and the way they work, compared to other browsers.

who uses stock browser's anyways lol

i do, if my phone does not have it, i use an alternative that works well. since not all alternative browsers work well with each phone. xscope worked great on droid x and thunderbolt. dolphin worked great on droid razr and droid razr maxx hd.

My LG MOTION 4 G Definitely has
Text Reflow you Zoom in to what size text you want -you double tap and it INSTANTLY fits into Columns so you ONLY SCROLL DOWN to READ no left right scrolling.
