I was trying to fix proximity sensor in my G2 D802, but after turning the phone back on, the screen doesn't work at all. After a lot of googling, I decided to check all the connectors inside the mobile phone, and that's when I found out that there is one pin missing in a connector next to the charging port.

So I'd like to ask, is it possible that this problem is caused by the missing pin? The only thing not working is the screen, other functions like front and back LED, vibrations, double tap to unlock seem to be working just fine.

I've already checked Ebay for replacements of the flex, where the faulty connector is placed. To my surprise, the versions for D802 are quite a bit more expensive than the ones for D800, D801 and D803. What are the differences? Can't I just use the version for D803, as they seem to be exactly the same as the ones for D802?

Thank you for your answers!
