Does anyone know of any 1440p vidoes on Youtube that really shows off the screen? The preinstalled videos just don't do it for me and I really want to have something cool to look at with how high def this screen is.

Searching for "1440p" will give you quite a bit in the results.

Searching for "4k" will yield some vids as well. If by cool you mean cool stuff, MKBHD does his impressions videos at higher res options now too.

Searching through your pockets for the money to pay for the data consumed, unless you're on unlimited data or wifi, is a different matter. Even 1080p gobbles data.

The highest you can go to on MKBHD is 4k on a laptop but on the G3 it is 1440p. I am also looking for other ultra high quality videos as well.

Check out MKBHD videos. His you can watch in1440p. There mainly just tech reviews videos but are very sharp..

That's why unlimited data always wins....or just use WIFI

3 FTW

(^^^I'm lucky, Three UK offers a choice of unlimited data deals, and very good value at that....£15/$25 a month PAYG in my case. The same price for SIM-only contract gets you 4GB tethering on top of the unlimited.
With 4G radio, 1440p displays, data-rich video etc these unlimited data plans are going to become all the more desirable.
If your wifi is poor, as mine is, attempting to stream even 1080p YouTube can lead to fantastically long buffering downloads interrupted by the occasional two or three seconds of video.😄)

Yep I get unlimited + 5 GB tether as well in the US.

As for finding something over 1080p I know there are videos on YouTube ... But I don't know if the app will allow you to go higher than 1080p. It would have to be enabled to do so first ... last I remember is Google setting it so we could chose quality and the highest I have ever seen is 1080p.

^^^Out of interest, which carrier, and is it reasonably inexpensive?

Regarding YouTube, I think 1080p is the highest option I've ever had.

I truly don't understand how or why anyone wouldn't choose an unlimited provider. These phones are too feature rich to be limited. I love my unlimited plan.

True. I'm lucky, I can get inexpensive unlimited. Last time I checked, only two of the main UK networks offer it. Neither would be much good if you happened to live in an area where their signals were poor or non-existent though.

T-Mobile // $80 a month :).

^^^I thought it might be them. They are one of the two (AFAIK) networks in UK to offer unlimited.
