LG G3 Charging Stalled

Hello,

My LG G3 is a great phone, I've had it for two months (almost) with no problems... But this is the second time that, when it's plugged in and "says" it's charging, it stalls at X percentage (last time was 33%; now it's stalled at 27%). I've tried switching outlets; and while it worked last time, it's not working this time. Needless to say, I am panicked. This phone is brand new and shouldn't be doing this. Is it possible that it could be the charger? The port hasn't been messed with, no new apps have been installed, I haven't even dropped the phone yet.

Update: It is now charging from an outlet that "didn't work" the other day. I am starting to hypothesize that it's the charger that is the culprit.

Re: LG G3 Charging Stalled

It probably indeed is the charger. Try the charger that came with the phone if you still have it. Or just try another one that you may have.

Re: LG G3 Charging Stalled

This is a relief! However, the charger I am using is the LG charger that came with the phone. I do have the LG charger that came with my old Nexus 5 - perhaps I could use that to test it out?

It may just be the cable and not the actual charger. You can try swapping cables to see if it makes a difference.

Ideally, for faster charging, you want to keep it paired with a higher amperage or as close as you can to the LG one. I think it's 1.7A.

Thank you for your suggestion! I ended up swapping cables with chargers; and it is now charging with my LG G3 cable and my Nexus 5 charger (the Nexus cable with the LG charger had no effect). Despite the difference in amperage (I think the Nexus 5 one is 1.2 or 1.1...) it seems to be working well for the moment as a makeshift charger. I may look into buying a new charger altogether.

Update: The step I took above helped for a while; but now the same thing is happening. I am fearing that it is the battery; or some other internal issue. Other than taking it to Rogers/using the built-in LG warranty to maybe replace the battery, is there anything else that I can try? I have never had this issue before.
