Folks, I'm new to android and I love the LG G3. There's one part of my iPhone I miss and I'm wondering if I can have it:

Is there a way to place the Google Now bar on my lock screen so I can access it quicker, like if I need to send a verbal text message while in the car? With Siri I could hit the home button and do that.

Thanks.

In the Google Search settings you can turn on always listening. This will make it so any time the screen is on and/or the device is plugged in to a charger, you can say, "okay Google" and it'll start listening.

Darth, thanks. However, although I tried, I can't find those settings.....I tried though. Went to settings, apps and google search and didn't know what to do next....

Open the Google Search App (will be Google Now), scroll to the bottom and there are three dots at the bottom for settings, then select voice and the settings are under "Ok Google" Detection".

I found that the google everywhere would not work whilst you have the knock code setting for your lock screen. Am presuming this is actually a security feature

Albie-Thanks. I was wondering if I was just an *****, had a bad phone, or what!!! Whew! (The knock feature is sort of fun though.) I guess you just need a pin for Google now to work as described?

I just tried it. Google works fire me with my knock code enabled.

Distorted- Update-Okay Google works on the lock screen but there's no app (or widget-which I don't understand yet) on the lock screen for me. I just say "okay google" and it starts....
