LG G3 Help with the Best MHL Adapter...

If anyone has any recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking to purchase an MHL Adapter, but wasn't sure what to get. So, I'm posting here hoping for some help. Thanks

The G3 uses SlimPort, not MHL.

I got this one Slimport™ to HDMI® Adapter - Black - Monoprice.com. I tried it out and watched the pre-loaded videos on my 50" plasma, and they looked awesome! I had to plug the power cord in to make it work.

Here is something to help you understand that it is MHL compatible.

Considering I have an MHL adapter that doesn't work and that virtually every other site with specs lists only SlimPort being compatible, and posts such as this one: SlimPort info - Post #6 - XDA Forums, I'd say you're the one posting misinformation.

Your TV must be MHL compatible.

The LG G3 does not work with a MHL adapter. It uses a Slimport adapter.

They are two different formats, like a lightning power cord versus a micro-USB one.

Again, the LG G3 will not work with a MHL adapter, regardless of what TV you have.

Strange, I once read on the LG website that it was and now the info is not there.
Also on another website a UK LG support staff said that it was.
I just contacted LG support and they confirmed it is not compatible with MHL.
Not that I use it much but I guess I have to buy a slimport adapter now.

Nokia, Samsung, Silicon Image, Sony, and Toshiba use MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL)
LG use Slimport adapter

Just for anyone who enters this thread now, MHL compatible devices can be found here: MHL® – Devices and slimport compatible devices can be found here: SlimPort supported devices

The difference is MHL uses a derivative of HDMI where slimport uses DisplayPort signaling.

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but what the heck....
Does anyone whose connected with the mobile carrier, MetroPCS, owned by T-Mobile can help me.
Because MeteoPCS did their recent upgrade, all metroPCS customers were forced to grade their cell phones to 2017 models in order ro utilize MetroPCS network.

I previously had Samsung Note 3, and was forced upgrade to a 2017 cell phone, so I purchased the LG Stylo 3.

What MHL HDMI ADAPTER is compatible with an LG STYLO 3 CELLPHONE.
