Heya everyone.

I have a question about the LG G3 and because i respect this community very much i want to ask it here.
Basically i have been given an chance to move from my LG Nexus 5 to LG G3 for a rather cheap price. Now i love my N5 but the battery life is horrible and the camera could be better. The reason i am hesitating is that my nexus 5 is blazing fast, no lag no slowdows other then maybe an occasional hiccup. Because of that i cant go to a phone that is not equally fast and i have heard alot about lag on the LG G3.

My question is is the LG G3 a worthy upgrade especially keeping the performance aspect in mind?
I do not mind rooting and flashing new roms so aslong as there are rooms out there that offer amazing AOSP level performance i dont mind going that way aswell.

Thank you for your time.

P.S In case this is a double post forgive me, i could swear i posted this once already but now i cant find it anywhere.

Mine doesn't lag even the slightest bit.

Having said that though, I've been using Nova launcher since about 10 minutes out of the box.

Tbh I have the lg g3 and I have regretted it. The display isn't very good (worse than n5) actually and also it is slower than n5 unfortunately. I'd get a n5x, lgg4 or mxpe instead.

The only real problem with the LG3 is that the screen pulls a lot of juice so you need to manually adjust the brightness level to get good battery life.

I recently half bricked my Sprint Note 2 sph-l900 and needed a phone fast. After a lot of reviewing and searching i chose the LG G3. All the scores in benchmarks were a very nice upgrade. I wanted a Note 4 , but don't have the money.

There are three games i play religiously over the last year. Marvel Puzzle Quest, Dungeon Hunter 5 and Marvel Contest of Champions. All of these ran absolutely GREAT and FAST on my Note 2. After installing them to my G3, there is a HUGE difference in performance. MPQ is a match 3 game....on my note 2 i could match as fast i possible in game, yet on my LG it's definitely slower. I'm waiting for animations to finished before making a move. This is bad as most of the time i'm competing in timed events and need to finish as fast as possible. Contest of champions runs well, but stutters several times during the match and then runs fine. Dungeon Hunter does the same. Loads ok, gfx stutters often.

How is my Note 2, 3 years OLDER, much better at these newer games than this NEWER phone??

I'm on stock sprint rom...no mods or root. In fact i barely have anything else loaded except those games, compared to my Note2 which was almost filled with apps.

I have both. If I had to choose one phone. I would choose the Nexus 5. It is my 'No messing' phone. Saying that as a daily driver, I cant make up my mind. I often swap my sim one or two times in a morning before I make my mind up and leave for work. The G3 does have a better camera but the Nexus 5 camera is more than capable for daily use. Unless you want to hang it in a gallery. My advice. Own both. They are like 'chalk and cheese'. 'Horses for courses' etc.
