'Gone' as in 'no longer there'? What screen do you get when you switch on?

If you updated over the air, the carrier is responsible for any problems the update causes. Back up everything (in case they have to replace the phone or reflash the entire ROM), bring the phone into the carrier and ask them to please fix or replace the phone.

(If you downloaded an update file and updated on your own, it could have been a bad file or a bad download, and you'll probably have to reflash the ROM, but you could try downloading the update again [this time check the MD5 or SHA1, whichever is posted with the update] and reflashing it.)

I don't have Lollipop but it sounds as if security was enabled on your devices during the OTA update. I think having security enabled (PIN or tap sequence) disables swipe to unlock and disables widgets from being displayed on the lockscreen (because it may show confidential emails/txt/call info).

Not sure where to check that, but on KK, it's Settings, [Device Section] Lock Screen, Select Screen Lock. See if it's set to something other than Swipe, and to the other poster, after checking/changing that, see if you can set widgets on the lockscreen now. Again, this is just a guess, as I don't have Lollipop.

Edit:I also just read about lockscreen widgets being disabled on Lollipop in favour of notifications mentioned earlier -- my bad.

I hope that lock screen widgets haven't been replaced by notifications. Quick turn on/off of music/audio books is far more important than being invited to play candy crush for the 4500th time.

Widgets have been replaced by notifications. That was one of the big changes from Kit Kat to Lollipop. Say goodbye to lock screen apps.

By the way, you know you can block games from sending you invites on Facebook, correct?

I have an LG G3, running 5.0.1. I still have lock screen apps, and notifications. What the bleep is everyone talking about?
