Lg G3 wireless charging

Hi people! My phone has been dead for year since I can't charge it anymore. The charging port (not just the pin, but the whole thing that charges the battery through the usb is broken). I was wondering if a wireless charger would bring it back. Are those separate circuits, or everything is connected, therefore damaged? Thanks a lot!

It's separate from the port, but you may need to look for the separately purchased back cover for the G3 for wireless charging to work.

I do have that cover, so it might work! I saw some cheap wireless charging ports online, am I good with those? I don't need fast chargin
