LG G4 and Samsing Galaxy Live watch?

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone with a Samsung Galaxy Live smartwatch (the one running AndroidWear, not Tizen). I'm looking to get a G4 in a week or two.

Should using the watch with the new phone just work?

The Answer is yes with it being Android wear it should work without issue

Android wear devices work fine on the g4.I have one myself.. Though not the same one you have
