LG G4 dropped: Do I need to replace the whole display to fix it?

Hi guys.
I dropped my LG G4 yesterday on a concrete and made a scratch on my display.

I was using the screen protector however the phone must have fallen on the edge so it didn't prevent it from this scratch on the screen.
My question is - do I need to replace the whole display? I found some parts on eBay and I was thinking about repairing it myself, is it difficult to do? I don't mind the scratches on the top, my main issue is the line on a display which can be seen mostly when looking at it from a slight angle.
