LG G4 H818p OTA recieved Firmware V20h-EUR-XX today! Why is this?

I live in Vienna (Austria, Europe) und have the
LG G4 H818p (Dual-SIM international version)

Todey i OTA received firmware version V20h-EUR-XX
(the former one was V20f)
Other info:
Android 6.0
patch level: 2016-10-01
baseband: MPSS.B0.2.5.c3.00106-M8992FAAAAANAZM-1
kernel: 3.10.84
build: MRA58K

First i was excited because i THOUGHT this might at last be the NOUGAT (Android 7.x) update for the phone.
It took quite long - on first reboot it said "... updating Apps x of 90" took a long time and thankfully everything turned out fine and all works.

But can anyone please tell me why this update in APRIL 2018?

If i understand correctly this is from 2016. What does it change and why does LG offer it for the H818p version of the LG G4 today?
I often checked with LG Bridge and never got such an update.

Any idea what this does, if it's for any use etc.?

This is an update to the terms of service, privacy policy and it adds some privacy-oriented options to the settings because of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR; German: Datenschutz-Grundverordnung) in the European Union and European Economic Area. Most recent-ish LG phones got such an update.

thanks for the info. Shame that it's just about the Datenschutz-Grundverordnung. I really was excited and thought that it would be something more substantiel about stability etc. The update took quite a while almost as if it had been a new OS version...
Would really have loved Nougat. I know there are some kind of hacks that one can aparantly use the V29a firmware that comes from the G4 H815 and somehow squeeze it onto the H818p but i don't want to do such a thing.
Still greatly love the G4 H818p and am using all of its features - from dualSIM when on holiday, to miraCast, the removable battery the remote (infrared) controller, NFC for paying, the great camera etc.
Really a shame that it is no longer maintained, or are there any rumors that it might still get a newer android version?

I too love the G4 (though now I moved to a new phone). Unfortunately, only the South Korean versions of the G4 received the official 7.0 Nougat update.
