LG G4 - no carrier WiFi only

So we bought an LG G4 for work. No cell plan, just WiFi. Basically just to use to have something small and easy for snapping photos, posting to social media. It just dawned on me, I won't ever get any updates for the operating system, right? That sucks, but I am only using it on a limited basis. Although, I do have an AT&T sim card for my personal phone. Maybe I can just pop that in every now and then for updates?

Which carrier? What version is it on now? I think you should still get them.

Also another cool thing you can do is buy an AT&T Go mobile hotspot (or any other carrier prepaid hotspot) and pair it to the phone and make WiFi calls. I did the for 2months while i tried to see if i were going to stick with Sprint. Worked pretty well i may add. Used AT&T's $25 2-gig data plan to make calls when not near a regular wifi signal and a lil interweb surfing.

Check back here often... if you see other AT&T G4 user screaming about MM update, wait a week or two then insert your active AT&T SIM card and check for updates.... you shouldn't have any problems.
