Lg g4 suddenly will not playback sound through main speaker

Lg g4 suddenly will not playback sound through main speaker, no physical damage and sound is intermittent, and crackles out to silence for several minutes before sound returns very briefly.
So sound comes and goes, no pattern to the silence. Earjack not effected, calls not effected.
