LG G4 - What is "App Usage Access" under the Security settings?

Under the Security settings on my LG G4, there is a section called App Usage Access. What is this? There are 6 apps listed there. 5 of which are "on".

In this help page, it says that it allows the selected apps to view usage info of apps on the phone. LG G4 User Guide. I'm guessing this means that the selected apps have access to usage data of all other apps on the phone (like which apps have been used, for how long, etc.).
