LG G5: Constant notification, but no notices?

My minutes ran out on my phone. I use Tracfone and this is a Verizon LG G5 phone I got from my father.

I have been using it a few months without issue. My account expired at the beginning of this month, and I finally got more minute today.

I activate my phone without issue and everything seems fine, but I just get constant notification dings, but nothing shows up in notifications or at my main phone screen when I double tap to wake it for use.

I'm baffled as it was fine before reactivation. But after activation, it is a constant ding about every few minutes or less.

I even turned off notifcations and blocked everything. Then I turned off data as a search on Google said it could be roaming dings being found.

Anyway, I was hoping someone had some insight on this issue. It's been going on for several hours now, non-stop.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

NFC means Near Field Communication. It allows you to do things like tap-to-pay (Google Pay, or on iPhones, Apple Pay). It can also set off notification tones if there's something else with an NFC chip right next to the phone (e.g., a credit card in a wallet-type phone case that's right up against the back of the phone).

I just got back from the store. I stopped by the phone store and they fixed it. They didn't seem to be sure what it was, they disabled a bunch of things and said it was likely Shazam.

Thanks for the description. I'll make sure to remember for next.
