Hey,

I have been owning my LG G5 (H858), OS 7.0, for about a year now. After a few months I began suffering from some issues, which appear to be common for the LG G5...

1. GPS - terrible, after a few months I would run Waze, Pokemon GO or Google Maps and get absolutely no lock. Removing and inserting the battery somehow resolves this issue temporarily. Last week I took manners into my own hands and just opened the phone, raised the GPS pins and placed a piece a thin piece of plastic under the motherboard to elevate the pins. Now they make contact and GPS works absolutely great, even better than day 1.

2. Battery drain! This is a real issue. Battery life was iffy since day one, and I tried everything, from factory resetting to changing battery to running Greenify (not rooted, but heightened privs via adb). I've had some very light usage on my phone today and this is what I see:

3. Screen burn-in/ghosting. It's real and it's there. Can't post images because obviously ghosting does not appear if I try screen capturing.

So issue #1 appears to be pretty much resolved, what can I do about issues #2 + #3 ? Any tips? Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! The battery issue might be due in large part to poor cell signal. You have 1 bar -- is it usually that bad? Tap the battery graph to see if you get a fullscreen graph with Cell Signal Strength. If not, then install GSam Battery Monitor and use its Cell Signal graph.
