Android Central Question

Whenever I take pictures at a concerts that's using laser and spot lights a weird green dots pattern is shown on my pictures. Usually the pattern is 5 rows of 4 green dots that's really annoying.

Welcome to the forums. At first, your sample pic looks like lens flares, likely related to the similarly patterned stage lights at the top of the screen. Any time you are shooting at a direct light source, it's possible to get these, no matter what camera you are using. But then you mentioned this:

Usually the pattern is 5 rows of 4 green dots that's really annoying.

Are you referring to other photos from the same event, or other events with different lighting? If you have other samples, that would help us narrow it down.

OK, 100% sure it's lens flare. It must be a defective lens/lens cover since my wife's G5 didn't shows any of this at the same events.
Thanks,
Silviu

I don't know if I'd go so far as calling it a defect. At least not without some very controlled testing comparing it to the G5. Like I said in my first reply, this can happen with any camera. Even a pro level $5,000 DSLR setup can have it under the right conditions.
