Hi, I'm looking for a case that can provide me with the best possible grip. Don't want the device to slip out of my hand or when it is placed on a table and accidently pushed, to fall from the table to the floor.

Anyone knows a good grip case?

It depends how much grip you really need. Short of rugged cases designed for throwing around on the decks of oil rigs, Spigen cases seem the best for normal use.

I have a problem with the smooth sides of this and many phones (curse the insistence on 'premium' metal and glass phones). The Spigen Ultra Hybrid has a rubbery sides. I'm currently using the Spigen Fit in black which has good grip to the sides.

Anything with a rough surface should provide some grippy goodness, as well as some smooth TPU and PC thin cases that will work as well. Adding to the manufacturers already mentioned, there's Ringke and OtterBox for thin or thick cases. I'm not keen on the G6 OtterBox designs (why leave that much of the back exposed?) or the colors however. I have a Ringke Fusion Air which is smooth but has a nice tacky grip, as well a dbrand Black Dragon skin which is really rough - I originally bought it to protect from scratches without using a case but the discovery that it feels like sandpaper was a bonus.

I got the Incipio DualPro and loved it. It was one of the only available cases at AT&T store and I didn't want to walk out with a naked G6 but so far love it. Its light, has good soft grip all around and provides decent protection. I've dropped it a few times and showed a few scuff marks on case but phone is perfect. With a tempered glass screen protector in pretty much set

Interesting - I have the red version from Verizon, didn't like it because it felt slippery. It can take a beating though, mine has some battle scars.

Wonder if the different colors have different textures? Because mine is the black with Some grey accents.

For example the Mophie battery cases. The black ones were more grippy and white ones were as smooth as butter without any grip. And made of different textures

I don't doubt this for a moment - I believe even the LG G3 had different textured rear covers depending on color, and I think there's other cases that have done the same.
