LG HBS800 Bluetooth headphones won't pair with Samsung Gear S watch?

I have a pair of LG HBS800 Bluetooth headphones and I can't get them to pair with my Samsung Gear S watch. I have a Note 3 and a Note 2, which pair with the headphones no problem. Are the HBS800 headphones not compatible with the Gear S watch?
