LG-LW690 (Cricket) Recovery Menu?

I have been trying to access my Recovery Mode on the LG-LW690(Cricket) and can not find the answer anywhere.

Can someone please tell me how to access this?

Try one of these methods.

- Hold the down volume + home button while holding the power button
- Hold the up volume + return button while holding the power button
- Hold the up volume + home button while holding the power button

When you do a search through Google, try using the terms "LG Optimus C". You'll get better results rather than using the model number

Unfortunately I got it to happen and then did an update. My LG is now bricked... Any ideas on installing a new bootloader and OS?

Like Moscow said, search Google using 'optimus C' instead of the model number. See if anything comes up for recovery. We also have an optimus section in the forum but not sure how much that would help as there is no C specific section iirc. Also, the optimus does not have a bootloader, only a recovery.

I have searched all over Google and Bing using Model Number and Model Name. I haven't found anything on installing the OS and Recovery. I guess I'll just toy with it for a while and hope that I hit gold at some point.

I did a post about 3 weeks ago, on the optimus V.

Not sure if it will help you, but it may lead you in a different direction..... If you need help finding it, let me know.

As bask said, some devices do not have a bootloader (recovery). As I can state, Acer Iconoina 501 didn't, untill I rooted and rom'ed.
