LG Mobile Update Tool

Yet another question.... If I'm rooted, and using a custom rom, what would happen if I update my phone through the LG Mobile Update tool?

Someone is probably typing a response now and i'm expecting them to reply before me, but LG/VM disabled that updater tool. We can't update the phone through USB. (Probably to prevent anyone from hacking the phone.)

we COULD, but their blasted firmware won't install. They deliberately left out a file in ours, even though you can download it from LG with a browser instead of their stupid tool, it's worthless.
you can use the real LGNPST to flash firmware, but all that's available is Sprint firmware, which borks up data service on VM phones.. not really worth it.
