LG MobileSwitch : this device can only send data

[Android Central Question]

I gave been google-ing like crazy yet couldn't find a solution.

I have successfully used LG Mobile Switch many times but the G7 One I try to configure displays a "this device can only send data" message.

Ideally, I would like to fix the issue.
Alternatively, I could do with a workaround. Tried Samsung's Mart Switch and Google backup: neither can see the G7 from the old G6.

Looks like I am stuck.
Any idea?
