LG Optimus F3 Front Camera does not function, why?

Lg Optimus f3 front facing camera does not work. When putting it on safe mode turning off apps with third parties, its still does not function indicating its a firmware issue or a hardware issue. It can't be a hardware issue because the front facing camera did work for only a couple of days (after it was bought) and then it just didn't work. The phone then had to be erased and an antivirus application was installed (CM Security I believe) and it brought the camera back again. But soon the front facing camera didn't work anymore leading to what is now the present. Does anybody have this same issue or does anybody know how to fix it if its a firmware issue?

Welcome to Android Central! How did you erase the phone--do you mean you did a factory reset? Any reason why you installed an antivirus app? Unless you frequent shady websites like those for porn, gambling, or pirated music/games, your risk of viruses on Android is quite low. Google will also scan your apps if you turn on the "Verify Apps" option in the system settings. I would suggest doing another factory reset, don't install an antivirus app, and don't install any other 3rd party apps for a couple of days. See if the front-facing camera continues to work. Then start installing apps one by one, checking the front-facing camera's function after each app installation.

Im doing that right now, I'll check back if any other issues occur only with the front facing camera.
