LG Spectrum serious rooting issues

I am trying to root my LG Spectrum from this tutorial Root LG Spectrum Smartphone Method By Dan Rosenberg but the LG drivers are not installing successfully. I tried running run.bat and it got stuck on 'waiting for device' and doesn't do anything. Probably because the LG driver will not install. I've restarted, unplugging/plugging the USB cable, USB debugging is turned on. I have Windows 7 64bit. I am also running things as admin. ADB drivers were installed successful and fine.

Yep, I'm having the exact same problem with my Spectrum v5920 4g. Tried 3 or 4 different rooting tools but nothing has worked so far.
