LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

I got my V10 a few weeks ago and love it so far. there is one glitch that is really annoying however. i can connect it to my car (2012 infinti M37) just fine and bluetooth audio works fine, able to listen to music. the issue is when i am using the hands free calling. the audio of the person's voice seems to cut out at random moments. the person on other end can still here me however. i called LG support about it. they said its a known issue and the next software update should correct it. i'm a bit sceptical though. anyone else having similar issues. I had a Galaxy S4 previously and didn't have this issue.

Did lg give an eta to the update?

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

they said late this month (December 2015) or early January

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

Acura driver here. My bluetooth periodically cuts off during a call for no reason, then will immediately reconnect.

Never happened with my previous phone.

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

I have a 2015 Chrysler 300c, with the Uconnect system. The LG V10 connects great, quick and easy. It reconnects as soon as I get in, sound is great, all that is awesome.

I do have a weird issue though. Sometimes, not all the times, maybe 40%, I will hit the Play button on the Uconnect screen, and the symbol on the screen changes, like it is working, but no sound comes on. So I will have to press play on the actual V10 or on my Moto 360, and then the sound will work.

However this causes the Play/Pause symbols to be off. So I push pause to make it play, etc.

Never had that with the Nexus 6 or Note 4, but the V10 stays connected better than either of those.

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

my bluetooth calling has been really bad with my V10 and JVC unit... cuts out, and other person says it sounds like i am a robot. and music also cuts out periodically when in my pocket and jogging using my motorola S3 headphones.

First post...
I have a 2014 Cadillac ATS with the CUE and yes I do say that there's no issue with connectivity. The phone part works great however, audio or media does not play at all. Pandora or Bluetooth is on the screen and the bar shows that it's playing but there is absolutely no sound.
My older G3 had no issues with either. I also tested this with a Note 5 and that plays media.
Was so tempted to get the Note 5 but holding out hope for an update for this.

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

I'm having issues with cutting out in my company car (2014 Dodge Grand Caravan). I haven't noticed an issue in my personal vehicle (2010 Ford F250). I hope they fix it soon because it's rather annoying when your on the phone.

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

I think it's an android lollipop issue. My s5 worked perfectly with my work truck & personal truck and with all my headsets until the lollipop rollout. On lollipop it would randomly disconnect and sometimes wouldn't reconnect at all. I got the s6 hoping it wouldn't have the same problems but it was actually worse! This v10 doesn't do it near as bad but it does still disconnect intermittently on occasion. The v10 always connects back on unlike the s5 & s6. I'm hoping once marshmallow rolls out I can leave the Bluetooth issues behind me.

Bluetooth is spotty period, home audio speaker, auto; doesn't matter - random and annoying cutouts.

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

I got my V10 a week ago, so far I absolutely love it. However I am having one problem, unfortunately this problem is upsetting me enough to where I'm thinking of returning the phone, but I like it so much I don't want to.

I have a new pioner stereo in my Ford f150, new in June. Phone paired very easily to the stereo via Bluetooth and works great, for phone calls only. Will not play music. There is no option in the Bluetooth menu for audio only phone and contacts. My headphones and Bluetooth earpiece however have an option which is phone, audio, or both.

Anyone have any ideas, or suggestions? Or is it what it is?

I've got a '14 Audi S5 and music plays alright but if I'm on a call, it'll disconnect bluetooth, send the call back to the handset, then reconnect 10 or so seconds later. Does it over and over again. Very frustrating. I didn't have this issue with any of my other phones.

It doesn't take 10 seconds on my Acura--it takes only a second or two--but yeah, same thing here.

Re: LG V10 and Bluetooth in car

2013 F250 had the disconnecting problem, new 2015 F150 has it too, as does my 2014 Toyota Tacoma work truck. Same thing on a new Jawbone Era headset and Plantronics Voyager Edge headset. All on Samsung S5, S6 and now LG V10. I'm convinced it's Android OS not phone specific.

This V10 isn't near as bad but still does it. Fingers crossed marshmallow will alleviate these problems!

I've got a 2015 Dodge Charger with the Uconnect 8.4 Navigation / Alpine system and my V10 seems to be working fine with the Bluetooth connection, even reads my incoming texts. No disconnects and the hand-offs seem to work as designed. I do get short pauses in my music when I get email alerts but I can turn them off if I wish. That is a feature of Poweramp, the music player I use, and not included with the stock player.

If you have an after-market Bluetooth head or an older factory unit, I would suggest checking the manufacturer web site for a firmware update for your unit. IME, every time Android is updated there are changes to the Bluetooth stack which cause issues. A firmware update can resolve these issues, if one is available. I would check for updates for any unit that is one year or more older. Prior to this car I had an Alpine after-market head unit in my previous car and it had problems until I updated the firmware.

Well, for a year and a half now BOTH of my V10s have issues in my Acura with the bluetooth connection disappearing, then reappearing a few seconds later. This happens only with voice calls.

You mentioned Infiniti; for 6 weeks, I had a loaner Nissan Altima--and it exhibited NO problems for me.

Go figure.
