Is anyone going to check it out or pre-order/buy it? I've been thinking about it because I have jump on demand. But my G4 is great and really the V10 isn't that much different (on the inside). So basically all I can come up with is that I want to check it out because it's newer?

I want a bigger screen, but I can't justify switching phones after four months for what's essentially the same phone. Plus, with how slow development is on the G4, I wouldn't count on the V10 having anything better.

I'm worried about updates on the V10 as well. LG seems to make a lot of one-off phones Ave they don't always get updated regularly.

If that had been out, I probably would have gotten it instead. But my next phone is going to be a metal unibody I'm tired of plastic and even leather.

Metal isn't all it's cracked up to be. After my experience with the M8, I'll gladly go back to traditional designs for ease of access/repair. Besides, I usually use a case, so the aesthetics don't matter much to me.

I've been looking into the V10. The secondary screen looks intriguing and well implemented from the initial reviews I've seen. That plus it has added manual video controls (which I guess there's a chance they could be added to the G4 with an update). It's not too different otherwise, so I think it'll come down to how well it is with one handed use and price.

I saw another thread that there will be a promotion for the U.S. release including a second battery, charging cradle, and 200 GB sd card for free. That certainly sweetens the deal.

I can see that, but me personally, coming from the Note 4 which seemed to take a year just to get 5.1....I'm not too worried about it. These carriers tend to take out the most interesting feature anyway. All I wanted from Lollipop was multi-user accounts, but that feature was all but removed from any phone that wasn't stock Android.

I saw that as well which is enough to make me consider getting it with jump on demand through T-Mobile. The main thing stopping me is that it's basically the same phone but doesn't look as good as the G4 IMO. I liked the white and gold version, but I think that's a Verizon exclusive here in the US.

I'd do it in a heart beat if the missed screen tapps issue is fixed out of the box. It's the only thing keeping me from being completely satisfied with this phone.
AFA the manual camera controls go, I think it would be a good thing. Last week, I filmed my daughter eating and every time my wife's had came into frame to feed her, the exposure and white balance would change noticeably while the camera also randomly refocused. It would be nice to turn it to manual and control the settings. But again, if the screen Tapps isn't fixed out of the box, no dice.

Well I made my decision last night and went with the G4 instead of waiting. Was able to combine several offers to get it free and then some, so I jumped on it.
