LG V20 1 of 5 Gmail accounts actually notifies me of new mail!

[Android Central Question]

I' had this issue for so long I just gave up trying to resolve it. Running s/w version VS99520c. Android Oreo, Verizon, hasn't received an OTA since 10-18. I've reset phone 3x, tried safe mode, etc. 1 in 5 gmail accounts actually gives new mail notification, audio & visual, but only when wifi connects. I've gotten zero support from LG, google and verizon. they all pass the buck. Any ideas?

What email app are you using? Gmail, the in-built LG email app or something else?
