I have been on Verizon for many years, order all my phones only,e and never had an activation problem.

With verizion though they got smart and can just move the sim card to a new phone att and tmobile to. Sprint is different it isnt as simple you just cant take your sim card and pop it into a new phone they have a few steps you have to go through
