LG V20 battery draining even after factory reset

I had a bad problem but it turned out to be UC Browser chewing up my battery. I wasn't even using it. I only had it installed and blocked for notifications.

My v20 is new and suddenly I got bad drainage. It dies on 100%. I will let it charge all the way to 100 then take it off. Within about a minute of it being off the charger, it dies. As soon as I plug it back up and turn it on it says fully charged and to remove the charger. It is still around 96-100% percent. I did a factory reset, disabled all apps I don't use, downloaded minimum apps that I know worked fine, data saver, battery saver, and the battery stats are all normal. I don't use it all at all until it's at 100%. I don't know what to do, I factory reset twice. It will still die even if I only have the screen on for more than a minute.

If it's new, then I would send it back under warranty.

That's almost-certainly a bad battery that cannot deliver current under load. The good news is that they're under $20 and easily swapped by you.

If the phone is basically new the seller ought to replace it, of course -- they sold you a phone with a dead battery, it appears.

Check your mobile settings... Sometimes when you're in a bad area with bad connections, the antenna is constantly searching for signals, therefore killing the battery.

I installed the Gsam battery app and it did not drill down specific enough, it said "App Usage", 30% of the battery sage. The rest was screen time.

GSAM requires you to use ADB to give it access to enhanced data for it to be accurate. You only have to do it once, but to truly use it to track down abusive apps you do need to take that step.
