Alright so Ive been self trouble shooting for a few days now and this is what Ive come up with...
The problem: Where I work we use Whatsapp to communicate after hours. With the V20 and 7.0 most times when I get a message through whats app the notification sound is cut off after maybe two seconds? Mind you the notification is around 8 seconds long...maybe a little longer. Ive also went back and used a stock whats app sound just to trouble shoot and came up with the same issue...sound being cut off after a second or two.
Now the issue is that I rely on these sounds to wake me up out of sleep so its important. Ill sleep through a one second blip of a notification.
It seems like when I get a message in whats app a small window drops down from the top of the screen saying that I have a message in whatsapp. To me it seems like when that preview shows is when the sound stops playing. Just to clarify I dont mean the setting in whats app for pop up preview messages (for trouble shooting purposes I disabled and reenabled pop up messages option in whatsapp / still had the same issue). This window drop down seems like a feature that is baked in to Nougat.
Sorry for the long winded thread. Anyone have any advice? This is major for me.
