LG V30: Grainy/textured screen?

Just got the V30+ and I noticed it has a grainy screen. It's more obvious when the brightness is below 80% on gray and white backgrounds. Compared to the IPS on the LG V20 it's so bad that I can't ignore it. To make it more clear I do not have the color banding issue.

That does not sound normal. Mine V30 does not do that.
If a screen shot shows the problem, it would be good to attach one to this thread so that we can see what you are seeing.

I own a v30+ myself and mine doesn't do that, either.

By any chance are you on Battery Saver mode? Is your resolution at the highest? The screen resolution can be changed to 2160 x 1080 and 1440 x 720 which can both affect the appearance a little bit.

I'm always on 0% as my default and I also use Comfort View.

I always use auto brightness. I've read many posts that claim more abnormalities are visible at lower brightness, although mine seems fine at any setting.

Another one with NO problems. I have mine set up the same as @Aithan if that counts.
