LG Viper 4G LTE - Wifi Tether disconnects a lot

So I am using Wifi Tether. It seems to disconnect quite a lot (as in the button turns gray). Any ideas...?

My wife always used pdaNet+ (formerly FoxFi) on her Viper. Never had a problem with it. The free version will kick you off every 30 minutes but when you consider the cost of adding a tethering plan to your bill, $7.95 for the full version is a steal.
