LGG4 call waiting issue

The issue here is that whenever you go to make a call The phone automatically blacks out the screen. I can't see how to disable this. But if the phone is blacked out and you are on another call, when a second call beeps in it won't allow the screen to come on to switch calls.

Please reply with any help or comments.

It's the sensitive proximity sensor. Just pull the phone away further from you when you want to use the screen.
Generally, you want a sensitive proximity sensor in the phone because you don't want your face to keep hitting buttons while you are on the call.

it is not this. I tried those settings. i cannot even get the screen to turn back on with the power button.
