V30 is essentially a follow up to the G6. Despite its name, it's not a V20 successor by any means.

New flagship ≠ new variant

V30s wouldn't be a new flagship, it's still the V30. V30s + new flagship according to that headline.

The V30 is a successor to the V20, it brought back the same hardware and features (except removable battery). I think they are going to focus on 1 flagship now instead of trying to be like Samsung having 2 (the S series and Note series). It's better that way, we don't need that many variants, just 1 good phone with good hardware specs. The design is fine, you can use the same look for 2 years like Apple.

The V30 is only the successor to the V20 by name. It's more of an update to the G6 than it is the V20.

LGs strategy is getting weirder by the minute. It's like they are trying to see how many ways they can fail.

This looks like an interesting device. Hopefully it will indeed come with the latest Snapdragon. Have high hopes for LG this year!
