Liberty 1.5 vs liberty GB

Hello. I have rooted my droid using z4 root and have been running liberty 1.5 for a few months now.
I see a lot of talk about gingerbread and was wondering why it is so popular? Is it just a faster and smoother system? I have also noticed that liberty has a gingerbread out and was wondering if there are any advantages to that?

Sorry for the basic questions but I am learning more and more each day.

To be honest, I cant tell too much of a difference in the case of performance.

To be honest, I hate the Liberty GB. I experienced nothing but problem after problem. I had to sbf back to stock froyo and reload the rooted 596 GB.

Well currently, the two ROMs updated for GB are Liberty and now recently Apex. There is a thread a few down from here with all the details on Apex.

Well I believe the dev for Apex released the final build. Liberty GB hasn't. So I would say try Apex 1st and hopefully by August Liberty will be finish.

Liberty is still in a "beta" version? Is that correct?

Yea you could call it beta releases. Were currently on .07 assuming 08 and 09 are next with 1.0 the offficial build, but I remember going to 2.0.1 when we got the original GB leak so maybe it will pull an Apex and just go from 2.09 to 3.0 official. Time will tell

Thanks for the help. I just downloaded the donate liberty toolbox and updated from liberty 1.5 to 2.01

I think I will wait until the full version comes out as I dont like having to redo everything each time I update the ROM. It was kind of a PITA redo all my apps and place all of my other stuff.

Quick question Jerseyboy since you are on:

Can you use, in the Toolbox/Liberty Mods/Build Properties, use Call Ring Dealy and Dalvik VM Heap?

I can open this options, set them to my liking but when it asks me to reboot and the phone is on again the settings are gone.

Are you having this issue?

Oh me neither man. Just messing with x. I click on the get the current value and then I choose the closest to that. Nothing stuck. Then I was looking at what each one means and it looks like it will improve the way our x performs.
