Liberty and Themes

Hey folks,

So I love Liberty. However I noticed that my phone crashes and reboots into recovery when I try to install the NexTheme or the Gingerbread theme. Says instalation aborted. All the other themes work fine. Running the Gala S theme. I had a fascinate and I liked the blue on black.

Download the themes and put them on your SD card. Then when you want to use a theme, just flash it in Bootstrap. Make a nandroid backup before you flash though.

This will be a lot quicker since you won't have to download or deal with bandwidth traffic.

Or, you can download the themes from the link JungleLarry provided and put them into the Liberty/Downloads folder and use the Liberty toolbox to install.

Make sure that any files that are in there with the same names are removed as they are probably incomplete/aborted downloads that were causing your installation problems.

Before you apply your themes to Liberty make a backup for the following reason:

After you flash Liberty, make a backup before applying any themes. Some of the themes will leave remnants behind if you flash another theme over it.

To prevent that from happening, do a restore to your Liberty backup (you can do System only) to get your files back to stock Liberty before applying a different theme.
