This app has been making my pixel xl miserable with sluggish and crashes few times a day! Finally uninstalled it few days and not even one lag or crash since! Loving the pixel back again, it's like buttery smooth like the day one. We seen apps for memory and all, probably nothing to detect such apps who chew up everything?

What does the app do? As for tracking rouge apps, you can try GSAM; it's a battery tracking app that can narrow down which apps are going haywire.

Used it long ago, and had the same issue. Now I just use the location services on Google+ . Alternatively Google just launched their new family check-in app. Might be worth a look.

Yah I wanted app to notify when wife and I leave to work and on way to home or at grocery store etc..

I use life360 on my pixel xl, no issues here- you may have a hardware or software issue with your gps. Its a good app to track family, I know where my kids are at all times and I never have to bug them. I would try a hard reset and set your phone back up and see if it works.

My husband and I use this since he has an iPhone. So far, its been working great.

I posted last week that I was getting issues with the Pixel occasionally freezing and needing a restart, and the OP replied that it likely had to do with Life 360. I uninstalled it two days ago and haven't (yet) had a freezing issue. The only problem is I have no idea where my wife and kids are or when my kids get home.

Glad it helped :)

Hmm... Used it from day one with my Pixel XL and not an issue. It is a lifesaver for our family. My wife and daughters also use it with their Nexus 5Xs

Perhaps time to check out Google's Trusted Contacts: https://contacts.google.com/trustedcontacts/

I looked at it, but unfortunately it's nowhere near as comprehensive as Life 360. Plus from what I can tell, you have to ask the contact to share his/her location with you each time you want to know where he/she is, and the app will only cough that info up by itself if the person doesn't respond within 5 minutes. What a pain.

Yeah, that doesn't sound very helpful.

I keep tabs on my wife by using the Google+ app. Open Google+, tap the hamburger menu, then Locations. It always shows her (well, her phone) location within the last few minutes. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but at least I can tell how far she is from home so I can better plan dinner on those days when I get home before her.

Working fine here - I teamed it with IFTTT and my Smart Things hub so the hall light comes on when my gal leaves work, and the porch light comes on when she's almost home. It also shuts off all lights when both of us are gone. It has worked every time.

It's been 9 days since I uninstalled Life360, and I haven't had a single freezing issue. I'm going to re-install it and see if the freezing issue pops up again.
