Light Flow Full Version - Anyone Try It???

Has anyone tried this app? I read only one review so far from a GS3 owner and was wondering if anyone else had feedback. I miss my custom LED notifications on my BB9810.

The app is great but the LED part is totally broken. Something to do with the difference between the international version of the SIII and the North American version. The LED is totally wrong and stays on when it shouldn't etc. They are working on a fix.

I still keep it installed because it lets me totally customize ringtones/vibrations/reminders/repeaters like BerryBuzz did. Once they fix the LED it will be amazing and hopefully make me forget about BerryBuzz!

Are you using v 3.0.2?

I tried it a few days ago, I quickly uninstalled it because of how it would have loud voice prompts that would not stop and the led would not turn off.

You can fix the annoying voice prompts by doing this:

- Go back into phone settings -> application manager
- Choose the "all" tab
- Find google text to speech (tts), click on it and click "disable"
- Find samsung text to speech, click on disable.

The LEDs work fine for me, but the colors are all wrong. Here is the conversion table:

Light Flow Color, Actual Color
Blue Red
Bright Pink Yellow
Cyan Purple
Deep Orange ...Peach? It's half Pink, Half yellow
Gold White
Green Purple
Indigo Orange
Lilac White
Lime Light Purple
Magenta Yellow
Orange White
Pink White
Purple Red
Red Yellow
Sky Blue Purple
Turquoise Purple
White White!
Yellow White

Is this the lite or full version? Another posts in this thread suggests that the app may not totally function well on the GS3.

What I wrote is definitely true for the full version, I haven't tried the light version so I can't comment.

The S3 definitely doesn't play nice with Lightflow. But, for me at least, once you disable text to speech and convert all your colors using the table, the LED control works perfectly.

Note that disabling text to speech means that S-Voice will no longer talk to you. You can still talk to it, but you will have to read its replies. I don't use S-Voice, so I don't care. But others might. I know of no other work-around, at this point, it's one or the other.

Fortunately, Google Navigation will still talk to you!

Just got a note from the developer. He is getting a US GS3 and hopes that will speed up development of a version that works on the GS3.

The below quote has been at the Light Flow - Blog for well over a week.

"Small update: I've now got a US model ordered and it's in the process of being dispatched to the UK for me to focus on this more.

Ok, now it's in the UK waiting customs clearance...."



Also note this statement on his blog page:

"I've set up a list of people wanting to be notified when I've made progress on it, if you want to be added to this list send an e-mail to s3waiting@rageconsulting.com and I'll add you to the list. I won't use the list for anything else other than updates. Andrew"

Works (mostly) now for rooted USA users.

There is a beta in testing that works for non-rooted users.
