Hello, I have an interesting question that has been bugging me for a while. I know I may sound like an idiot for asking this (I'm not that bright when it comes to hardware, I'm more software smart), but would it be possible if you were willing to do everything needed to install an apple lighting connecter port on a phone in place of the existing micro usb? I really like the lighting charging system, as it charges really fast. I've seen it done on nock offs of the iPhone, so I would assume it's possible. Does anybody know the answer to this? Thanks in advance!

How fast is the lightning charge?

Much faster than the current micro usb, it's from probably 4 hours on a dead battery cut down to 2 hours worth of charging with the lighting port. Its because apple built it so it could accept more current so they could use the same ports/cables for both the iphones/ipads and also to speed up charging

iPhones have smaller batteries than most current Android phones.

Correct, but the improvement has been seen on the iphones dramatically, as I explained with the increased current allowance. It allows more current to pass in a shorter period of time because the tips are adaptable to what is needed. That's the real design behind it, and even though android batteries are bigger it would still greatly improve charging speeds
