I'm headed in a cruise and have a very strict data limitation. Is there a way to black all apps from using data with a few exceptions? For instance only allow Verizon message+ and FB messenger?

Maybe I should clarify. Looking for a way to do this easily and not have to restrict app by app.

First question, how are you going to use mobile data while on a cruise? If you turn mobile data off and use the wifi (which I assume is provided) you don't need to do anything. If that doesn't work, then no to your question about doing it easily.

It would be wifi data. Not mobile data. There is a 1GB limit for the week. I'll just turn everything off that uses auto updating like Facebook and the app store.

Just turn off auto updates on Play Store and Software updates and you should be fine. I just leave my phone alone. 1 got a 6GB allowance for 1mo and I barely even hit 4GB a mo. So that's around 1GB a week. I do have data saver on though. This feature prevents other apps from accessing data from the background while you aren't using it. Just set yoir exceptions. It's under settings>connections>data saver. Although I am not sure if it works for WiFi.
